about

Featured in this collection are ep tracks and out takes that were orphaned from their projects. The earliest recordings were made for our self-titled first album during winter 1994 / 1995. They are Jigs: Colerane / Smash The Windows / Morrisons and Wild Rover (missing a solo and harmony voices). Rambling Sailor and Baldwin's Blues were recorded in 1996 at the first sessions for Too Hot In The Kitchen and remained unfinished. They were completed for this project in February 2016. The Merry B Reels and The Mason's Apron Set were recorded January 1998 during the video shoot for the Wild In The West video. A third reels set, The Morning Dew (Reels), was recorded at the same time and included on our second studio album, Merry Begot. One Red Rose was recorded a few months later and included on the Wild In The West ep released September 1998. If The Jacobites Had Won was intended for Merry Begot. Unfortunately it was finished a few months after the album's release. The Wild Hunt was originally the second part of a medley with Drawing Down The Moon released on our Time Of The Assassins ep January 1, 2001. Captain Kidd and Robin Was A Reckless Lad were recorded in early 2010 for the 4 x 3 ep but Robin was not included on the final release. John Barleycorn was recorded live in Van Nuys, Ca. October 22, 2011. Bud & Blossom / Un Deux Trois was featured on our Yuletide ep in 2011. Lovely Joan was recorded in 2011 and intended for Patchwork Quilt. It was left off to make room for the extended video mix of Reynardine.
